Box Office Representative
Do you love live Theatre? Have you always wanted to be in the middle of the action? Does the idea of creating extraordinary customer experiences excite you? North Carolina Stage Company is now looking for a new Showtime Box Office Representative. The primary responsibility for this position is to give patrons of NC Stage an incredible experience. We do this by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, providing patrons with accurate event information and assisting them in purchasing and/or picking up tickets at North Carolina Stage Company. The Box Office Representative is expected to work cohesively with all employees of North Carolina Stage Company in maintaining an extreme level of customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide all patrons with a positive first impression of North Carolina Stage Company by offering superior, individualized customer service.
- Commit to at least 2 shifts per week during performances.
- Accurately operating ThunderTix computer ticketing system to sell tickets for North Carolina Stage Company.
- Problem-solve by effectively communicating with patrons to locate and deliver will-call tickets.
- Provide information regarding North Carolina Stage Company via face-to-face communication and telephone.
- Assist with miscellaneous box office projects as directed.
- Create a warm & welcome atmosphere with smiles, friendly greetings and an enthusiastic, helpful attitude.
Qualifications:
- Capability of communicating positively with patrons to establish their needs efficiently and courteously as well as organizational skills.
- Skill to handle cash responsibly and accurately.
- Ability to develop a growing knowledge of ThunderTix.
- High School Diploma required.
- Previous experiences in customer service are preferred. A background in sales is a plus.
Hours: Part-time position, hours vary depending on performance schedule and staffing needs.
Front of House/Concessions Manager
Do you love live Theatre? Does the idea of creating extraordinary customer experiences excite you? North Carolina Stage Company is now looking for a new Showtime House and Concessions Manager. House and Concessions managers welcome the public into the theatre and oversee their safety and well-being during the show. Many patrons will never meet anyone but the Front of House staff and ushers as they come to shows year after year. For these people, the Front of House Staff is North Carolina Stage Company. The primary responsibility for this position is to give patrons of NC Stage an incredible experience. We do this by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, providing patrons with excellent service, guidance and assistance. The House and Concessions Managers are expected to work cohesively with all employees of North Carolina Stage Company in maintaining an extreme level of customer service.
Note: During Mainstage Productions we have a House-Manager and a Concessions-Manager. During a Catalyst or Rental Performances we combine these two as one. You will be trained in both positions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide all patrons with a positive first impression of North Carolina Stage Company by offering superior, individualized customer service.
- Commit to at least 2 shifts per week during performances.
- Brief and supervise up to 3 volunteer ushers per shift.
- Correspond with Box Office to fix ticket issues, and Stage Management to keep the show running on time.
- Make announcements regarding house opening and intermission ending.
- Answer questions, direct traffic, and keep the show running smoothly
- Clean up the seating area after the show is over
- Write and email daily show reports
