Afterschool Production Class: Ages 8 – 13
Your student will work with a professional director to create a full-length production over approximately five and a half months. In this class students will learn how to audition, rehearse, and perform a fully realized production while learning new theatre terms, teamwork, and performance techniques in an exciting way. The class culminates with a production at NC Stage for friends and family. Space is limited!
Dates: September 22, 2015 through March 6, 2016*
Time: Tuesdays from 3:45-5:45pm
Location: Jubilee! Community at 46 Wall Street
Production: March 4th and 5th at 7:30pm and March 6th at 2pm at NC Stage
Level: Introductory, prior experience is helpful.
Additional Skills Gained: Team building, confidence for public speaking, creative development, and fun!
Cost: $600
Price includes cost of instruction and all production costs.

Middle School Production Class: Ages 13-15
Your student will work with a professional director to create a full-length production in twelve weeks. This class will take the performance techniques, story-telling, character development, and other theatre tools introduced in previous courses up to the next level! This exciting session culminates with students performing their production for friends and family. Space is limited!
Dates: October 5th , 2015 through Jan. 17th, 2016*
Time: Mondays from 4-6pm
Location: The Roots + Wings Creative Campus, 573 Fairview Road
Production: Jan. 15th and 16th at 7:30pm and 17th at 2:30pm
Level: Intermediate, prior experience helpful.
Additional Skills Gained: Critical thinking, confidence for public speaking, creative development, and fun!

Professional Youth Actor Training: Ages 14-18
Your student will work with a professional director to create a full-length production. This class includes twenty-four weeks of instruction in which students will experience what it is like to be a professional actor! This class builds upon skills learned in prior courses and adds emphasis to character development and script analysis while focusing on classical material. This exciting course culminates in a June with a fully realized Shakespeare production at NC Stage with performances open to our subscribers and the public. Space is limited!
Dates: First Semester- Oct. 3rd – Dec. 12th, 2015*
Second Semester -Feb. 6th – June 11th *
Time: Saturdays from 9am-12pm
Location: The Roots + Wings Creative Campus, 573 Fairview Road
Production: Second week of June 2016
Level: Advanced, experience highly suggested
Additional Skills Gained: Critical thinking, SAT vocabulary, college-level reading skills

Introduction to Acting: Adult Education
This class is a ten week introduction to acting course. This class emphasizes individual monologue work through intention, movement, physical activity, etc. It also introduces various acting philosophies and techniques including Alexander Technique. This class is designed to resemble a college introductory course and is perfect for the adult actor or actress who is just getting into the world of performance

Shakespeare’s Language: Adult Education
This eight-week class is an introduction to the language and poetry of Shakespeare. It will focus on the use of the text, language, story-telling, interpretation, and the meaning of his work. This class is designed for individuals who want to dive deeper into performing the Bard’s work.
