NC Stage is thrilled to announce Introduction to Shakespeare with Michael MacCauley.
This 8 week class for adults meets on Mondays from October 6th- November 24th. This class is being offered in two different time slots: 1:00-3:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM.
This class is an introduction to the language and poetry of Shakespeare. The focus will be on the use of language, texting, story telling, interpretation and meaning.
Students will work with sonnets, monologues, and scenes from Shakespeare. The class will culminate in a final performance of work at NC Stage.
Level of experience is unimportant.
Ages 16 and above
Michael MacCauley has worked with NC Stage for over 8 years as a performer and teacher. He currently teaches acting intensives for both youth and adults. He is performing the one man tour de force, Jacob Marley’s Christmas Carol at NC Stage this December. Previous NC Stage performances include, The Dresser, Beauty Queen of Leenane, Angels in America, and several other productions. Michael has performed in several off-Broadway productions and at various regional theatres throughout the country. His television credits include Homeland, Law and Order, Law and Order SVU, Law and Order Criminal Intent, and New York Undercover. Michael is also co- Artistic Director of Ensemble Theatre Company, with Andrew Hampton Livingston.
