Opening weekend of each new show at North Carolina Stage Company includes a series of “preview performances”. Just like previews on Broadway, this is a unique time when a fully rehearsed show is finally in front of an audience, but is still able to receive changes from the director before its official opening performance. Previews weekend at NC Stage brings with it several exciting perks and discounts for patrons to take advantage of! Take a look below and get a little something extra with your ticket.
Half Price Thursday: One month before a show opens, every single ticket remaining for the first Thursday of a run is set at half price! It’s a great opportunity to bring a friend to the theatre or just to grab a great deal for yourself on a night when downtown parking might not be too bad. No code needed, these special tickets are available at ncstage.org or by calling the Box Office at 828.239.0263
First Friday: Every first Friday night of a show at North Carolina Stage Company is Pay What You Can Night*! For a minimum of $6, you can see professional theatre in Asheville. Pay What You Can tickets are available one week before the first performance online at ncstage.org or by phone at 828.239.0263
Opening Saturday: This is the official opening night of a performance! Join us post show for a complimentary champagne toast with the cast and crew as we celebrate the opening of a new production.
***Special Wednesday night preview for Jeeves Saves the Day! This popular production brings with it an additional preview night on Wednesday, January 22 and since Jeeves Saves the Day is set in 1927, we’re making every remaining ticket for Wednesday’s preview $19.27 (+tax & fee)

NC Stage offers discounted tickets for: Educators and education support staff, public librarians, healthcare workers, active duty military and veterans, and members of the food and beverage union. These discounts are only available on full priced admission and may not be used for Pay What You Can, half price night, or any other discounted performance.
