A statement on the need to raise funds for the theatre in the current moment.
The impact Hurricane Helene has had on our Western North Carolina community is immense.
North Carolina Stage Company has been incredibly fortunate. The theatre building had minimal damage during the storm and our staff are physically safe. As response turns to recovery, your support is invaluable.
Right now, we are focusing on bringing audiences back together to experience the joyful and thoughtful storytelling of live theatre. The choir has begun rehearsing for All is Calm and we’re gearing up to re-open for the holiday season.
At the same time, we’re also gauging the unseen effects of canceling the first show in our 2024-25 season and sending home the talented and passionate theatre artists who were working on this production.
If you have the capacity to give in this moment, your contribution will help sustain NC Stage through this time of uncertainty. Additional links to community resources and giving opportunities can be found below. We are extraordinarily grateful!
Western North Carolina and other areas in the southeastern US have been devastated by the effects from Helene. This includes our home of Asheville, NC. If you need assistance or resources, or if you are in a position to help, the links below are a great (and not comprehensive) place to begin.
