NC Stage is raising funds for hurricane recovery during its current production of ‘King Mackerel & the Blues Are Running’
“There’s our map – you can see there’s our eastern seaboard, land of shipwrecks and shag dancing, ghosts and shifting sands.”
Welcome to’ King Mackerel & the Blues Are Running: Songs and Stories from the Carolina Coast.’ The show welcomes a band of fisherman musicians on a mission to help rebuild a fictional cafe damaged by a hurricane on the Carolina Coast.
With devastation from hurricanes Harvey and Irma leading to recovery efforts for years to come, join NC Stage in supporting the United Way Hurricane Recovery Fund during King Mackerel and the Blues are Running. The United Way Hurricane Recovery Fund is dedicated to recovery efforts for Harvey, Irma and whatever may come next. 100% of individual donations given to these Hurricane recovery funds will be distributed to the affected areas.
Inspired by the story and recent real life events, NC Stage wants to help those in need. During the production of ‘King Mackerel and the Blues are Running’ you can Give A Fish (picture) for $10, $5 or $1. We will hang a fish for each donation in the lobby to show we care! These fish will be available for purchase online and at the box office.
NC STAGE WILL MATCH THE FIRST $500.00 RAISED!
The donated money from NC Stage will be from our King Mackerel and the Blues are Running ticket sales.
Here is how it works!
Big Fish = $10.00 PURCHASE
Medium Fish = $5.00 PURCHASE
Little Fish = $1.00 PURCHASE
If you wish to give more you can! For example, purchase 10x Big Fish and your total amount would be $100.00.
