North Carolina Stage Company is looking for singers for their upcoming production of All Is Calm; The Christmas Truce of 1914
Seeking male singers, age 18+ years, to make up an 8 person chorus for the production that will sing period songs from World War I era and holiday songs while three actors read correspondence and eyewitness accounts from the truce. Traditional and modern arrangements will used. Two basses, two baritones, two 2nd tenors, and two 1st tenors
Singers will be able to use music during the performances but ALL SINGERS MUST BE PROFICIENT IN READING MUSIC.
Chorus only rehearsals will begin on or around 11/10 and go through 11/29. They will be scheduled TBD.
Actor and chorus rehearsals will be 11/29 through 12/1 from 5pm to 10pm,
12/2 TBD
12/3 5pm to 10pm
12/4 TBD
12/5 1pm to 5pm and 7pm to 11pm.
Performance schedule is as follows:
12/6, 12/8, 12/10 (2pm), 12/12, 12/14, 12/16 (2pm and 7:30pm), 12/20, 12/22, 12/26, 12/27, 12/28, 12/29, 12/30 (2pm and 7:30pm)
There are 15 performances total. All performances are at 7:30 unless otherwise noted.
There is a stipend for rehearsal and per performance.
