HEIDI (White, mid 40s-mid 50s, she/her) Charismatic, witty and clever. Based on Heidi Schreck, a former debate champion who grapples with whether the Constitution should continue to exist. Alternates from adulthood to her 15-year-old self throughout the play.
MIKE / LEGIONNAIRE (Any race/ethnicity, mid 40s-mid 50, he/him) Heidi’s friend; first appears as an assertive American Legionnaire monitoring the speech and debate, and a stickler for the rules/law. He later turns into Heidi’s ally and assistant, reflective and genuine.

KEITH (Black, 30s, he/him) A single father and a mortgage broker living in Idaho. A gay man struggling to keep his adoptive foster daughter.
RYAN (White, 30s, he/him) A single father and a factory worker living in Idaho. A man working through his recent divorce and applying for a loan to buy his family’s property back.
JEEVES TAKES A BOW
by Margaret Raether
Director: Angie Flynn-McIver
Production Dates: 7 Week Contract – Rehearses 10/31/23, previews 11/24/23, opens 11/25/23, closes 12/17/23
BERTRAM WILBERFORCE WOOSTER (“BERTIE”) (30s-40s, he/him). An affluent bachelor with a tendency to get himself into tricky situations. Simply has not grown up and has little understanding of the world around him. Self-centered but very likable and harmless.
JEEVES (40s-60s, he/him) Bertie’s unflappable valet. Level headed. Always thinking 5 steps ahead. Long suffering but discreet and flawlessly mannered.
NIGEL BINGHAM-BINKERSTETH (“BINKY”) (30s – 40s, he/him) Bertie’s friend with a penchant for ridiculous logic. AWOL from a diplomatic assignment in Washington, he is in New York chasing love and his dream of being a star of the stage.
RUBY LeROY (20s – 30s, she/her) Binky’s love interest. An ambitious young actress with working class roots and New Yorker street smarts.
“KNUCKLES” McCANN (50s – 60s, he/him) A New York tough guy with a mob boss-esk attitude. He’s taken an active paternal interest in Miss LeRoy’s career. Not afraid to think with his fists.
VIVIENNE DUCKWORTH (30s – 40s, she/her) A “terribly earnest, high-minded” Englishwoman “in spectacles and a tweed suit.” She is well acquainted with Bertie and Binky and has a low opinion of both. On her first trip to the States, she is always in command and holds her own with the likes of Knuckles McCann.
INCIDENT AT OUR LADY OF PERPETUAL HELP
by Katie Forgette
Director: Charlie Flynn-McIver
Production Dates: 7 Week Contract – Rehearses 1/9/24, previews 2/2/24, opens 2/3/24, closes 2/25/24
LINDA O’SHEA (20s-30s, she/her) This play is her memory at age 19. Intelligent, caring, and curious. She alternates between thinking she knows everything and thinking she knows nothing. Responsible and rarely impetuous.
BECKY O’SHEA (teens, she/her) Linda’s 13-year old sister. A bit naïve for her age and yet a precocious and unusual child. Bright and verbal. Full of energy and a crazy-huge imagination. She speaks quickly, not unlike some of the characters in the 1940’s noir films she loves. Think Maltese Falcon meets His Girl Friday.
JOSEPHINE “JO” O’SHEA (40s-50s, she/her) Linda’s Mother. Juggles more plates than Cirque de Soleil. Champion multi-tasker. A little more emotional and prone to outbursts than usual.
THERESA “TERRI” CARMICHAEL (40s-50s, she/her) Linda’s aunt and Jo’s sister. No-nonsense, straight shooter. Feminist. Going through a rough patch, but not depressive or phlegmatic.
MIKE O’SHEA/FATHER LOVETT/BETTY HECKENBACH (50s, he/him)
— MIKE (he/him): Linda’s dad. Loud, loyal, and single-task oriented. His definition of a father is breadwinner and disciplinarian. Lousy listener.
— FATHER LOVETT (he/him): Old school, Catholic priest. Egotistical, imperious, and pampered. Unused to any kind of pushback from parishioners or anyone else for that matter.
— BETTY HECKENBACH (she/her): There is a Betty Heckenbach in everyone’s life. She’s right up there with death and taxes – only less fun. Even though the role is played by the same actor who plays MIKE and FATHER LOVETT, there is no winking or caricature. Just a judgmental, middle-aged woman sticking her nose into other people’s business.
WITCH
by Jen Silverman

Production Dates: 7 Week Contract – Rehearses 2/20/24, previews 3/15/24, opens 3/16/24, closes 4/7/24
ELIZABETH (40s-60s, she/her) An outcast. Smart with a quick wit.
SCRATCH (30s, he/him) The devil. Quintessential salesman – charismatic and clever.
SIR ARTHUR (50s-60s, he/him) Cuddy’s father. A wealthy and powerful man, entitled and used to being in charge. Looking for a suitable heir to continue his legacy.
FRANK (20s-early 30s, he/him) A confident and successful young man, charming and ruthless. His ambition knows no bounds.
WINNIFRED (20s-early 30s, she/her) Sir Arthur’s servant, resigned and pragmatic, secretly married to Frank.
CUDDY (20s – early 30s, he/him) Sir Arthur’s son, painfully shy, a morris-dancer. He is secretly in love with Frank (and also in hate).

by George Stevens, Jr.
Director: TBD
Production Dates: 7 Week Contract – Rehearses 4/2/24, previews 4/26/24, opens 4/27/24, closes 5/19/24
THURGOOD (Black, 40s-60s, he/him) Activist, lawyer, Supreme Court justice with dry humor, an ease with conversation, and great oratory skills. Actor will need to portray a range of ages over the course of Thurgood Marshall’s life.
