If you’re asking yourself where you can find some serious long form improv, look no further than Adesto’s The Spontaneous Play: An Improvised Living Room Drama (that is also funny)!
The show will run for four consecutive Tuesdays in the NC Stage space on July 16th, July 23, July 30, and August 6. Each show will be completely different, and completely made up! What will happen? There’s only one way to find out…
The Spontaneous Play features Aaron Ballard, Jessica Barlow, Casey Gullickson, Christine Hellman, Laurie Jones, Stacey Uria, Scott Voloshin, and Paul Vonasek. It is directed by Laurie Jones. Per Adesto’s website:
“Join us for a completely improvised play that can be humorous, silly, dramatic- what have you! The play takes place in one living room. Everything else is made up on the spot based off of your suggestions! You won’t believe this entire play is improvised, but we promise, it is!”
Adesto Theatre is an improv company founded by Laurie Jones and Paul Vonasek. They have both been performing long form improv for over ten years with LA-based companies Bearded Company and Ripley Improv – Adesto is their Asheville improv debut!
All four shows take place at 7:30pm in the NC Stage space, located in downtown Asheville at 15 Stage Lane. Downtown parking is tricky at the best of times, so plan accordingly! Tickets are $15, and if you want to see all four performances, four show passes are available!
