SEEKING: Equity actors for roles in North Carolina Stage Company 2024-25 Season (see breakdown).
These are Actors’ Equity Association required season auditions and Equity members are given priority. North Carolina Stage Company operates on a SPT-4 Contract (pending approval). Non-union actors are welcome to audition.
Performers of all ethnicities, gender identities, ages, and body types, as well as performers with disabilities, are encouraged to submit audition materials.

IN-PERSON AUDITIONS – PREPARATION & APPOINTMENTS:
Actors are asked to bring a headshot and resume and prepare two contrasting monologues (length between 1 – 1.5 minutes each). Actors interested in THE LAST WIDE OPEN should also prepare 2 contrasting songs and accompany themselves on guitar or ukulele depending on role.

ROBERTO (he/him, 30s-40s) – A poet and an immigrant. An agreeable, earnest, warm and generous person. Highly intuitive and ever the optimist. The part of Roberto may be modified to fit whatever language/country of origin the actor is best suited for. Character plays guitar and sings.
LINA (she/her, 30s-40s) – A disillusioned dreamer. Emotional, cynical and frequently despondent from the feeling they’ve been beaten down by life. Leads with her emotions and is kind. Plays ukulele and sings.

Seeking 3 actors for ensemble piece. Actors play various roles including soldiers and politicians from World War I. Must be very good story tellers and proficient with dialects such as German, French, and Italian, as well various dialects of the UK: Standard British, RP, Irish, Scottish, Cockney, etc.

JEEVES TAKES A BOW

BERTIE WOOSTER (he/him) – Amiable, rich. Is not interested in getting married. Massively unlucky.
JEEVES (he/him) – “The perfect gentleman’s gentleman,” and Bertie’s valet. Very good at getting Bertie out of unlucky predicaments.
AUNT AGATHA (she/her) – No-nonsense, determined. One of Bertie’s many aunts. Wants Bertie to get married at all costs.
EGBERT BAKEWELL (he/him) – Always needs money, optimistic, clueless. Bertie’s cousin, in love with Maisie.
RED HOT MAISIE DAWSON (she/her) – Jazz singer at a nearby hotel. Not in love with Egbert. Quite in love with Jeeves.
SIR RODERICK GLOSSOP (he/him) – A nerve specialist. Fussy and humorless. Father to Honoria, who is engaged to Bertie.

HENRY LEHMAN (he/him) – The eldest. German-Jewish immigrant from Bavaria. Tenacious, intelligent, and the first of his brothers to immigrate to the United States. Doubles as Philip Lehman, Pete Peterson, and others.
EMMANUEL LEHMAN (he/him) – The middlest. German-Jewish immigrant from Bavaria. Enjoys the finer things in life, hot headed, and the second to immigrate. Moves the business to New York. Doubles as Herbert Lehman, Lewis Glucksman, and others.
MAYER LEHMAN (he/him) – The youngest. German-Jewish immigrant from Bavaria. Mediator for his elder brothers, level-headed, charming, and the last to immigrate. Doubles as Bobby Lehman and others.

MATT (White, he/him) – A bartender and LeBron James fan. Slightly messy and talks before he thinks. Presents at the ages of 21, 27, 31, and 33 throughout the play.
