SEEKING:
Non-union actors and actor musicians for the 2025 Community Tour production of Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare.
ABOUT THE NC STAGE COMMUNITY TOUR:
The NC Stage Community Tour is dedicated to bringing dynamic professional performances to audiences who traditionally experience barriers to attending live theatre. Performances have included audiences in homeless shelters, correctional facilities, community centers, senior centers, and schools in Western North Carolina.
PREPARATION:
Actors are asked to prepare two contrasting Shakespeare monologues (length between 60 – 90 seconds) and an optional song of their choice. The song should be in the folk, pop, indie style. (Please sing a cappella or accompany yourself.) Also looking for actors who can play an instrument. Not all roles will require singing or instrumentation.
IN-PERSON AUDITIONS:
Sunday, April 20 from 3pm – 6pm & Monday, April 21 from 3pm – 6pm
Saturday, April 26 from 3pm – 6pm & Sunday, April 27 from 3pm – 6pm
Auditions will be held at the North Carolina Stage Company rehearsal space. Address and directions provided when the audition appointment is scheduled. Please email [email protected] to schedule an audition appointment. Appointments will be 10 – 15 minutes.
VIDEO AUDITION SUBMISSION:
Video submission deadline: April 27, 2025.

COMPENSATION:
This is a professional, non-union opportunity and performers will be compensated $375/wk for rehearsal & NC Stage performances, and $100 per community performance. Housing is provided for out of town ensemble members.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE (subject to adjustment):
Rehearsals:
3 – 4 weeks scheduled between June 2 – July 6
Community performances:
10 – 20 performances scheduled between July 1 – September 21
NC Stage performances:
8-10 performances over two weeks in August or September, exact dates TBD.

SIR TOBY BELCH – Olivia’s kinsman
SIR ANDREW AGUECHEEK – Sir Toby’s companion
MALVOLIO – steward in Olivia’s household
